I have 24 first grade students in a public school setting. My students are a mix of regular and special needs students, some having experienced significant traumas and difficulties in their young lives. We have minimal financial resources for projects and supplies. My students love hands-on ways to explore curriculum areas and work towards learning goals. They are creative and focused when we include the arts into other curriculum areas.
