Students will benefit from these resources in several ways. FIRST Lego League is very much a hands-on activity. Availability of these kits will allow our students to have more one-on-one time with the robot. (The idea ratio is in the range of from two to four students per kit). This will allow for more opportunity to learn coding, mechanical design, and the process of prototype-test-improve. Our goal is to participate in the FLL Vermont State Championship with a well-rounded team where all students have been able to participate in different aspects of planning and programming missions in the robot game. Having access to enough kits will ensure that we'll be able to give students enough time to reach this goal. The teams are utilizing the FLL Challenge team meeting guides and engineering notebooks as our curriculum, with plenty of additional challenges and programming exploration along the way.
