I have a classroom full of 18 wide-eyed and eager learners. Most of them come from a very low income home, with over working parents and caregivers. There is little time for students to get assistance at home, they way they get in the classroom. My students do not always get exposure to certain experiences and some lack the resources that children need to grow and learn. My goal is to provide my students with as many life experiences as possible, to fill in the gaps, as well as show them love and appreciation for who they are. I tell them everyday is an important day for learning, that their words have power, and that there is no where else I would rather be!

About my class
