Outdoor learning is fantastic! The students love it. The teachers find it hard to work in groups in different areas when the kids are running all around. Kids need a destination, a spot to wonder, to read, a destination for them to get their tasks done, they are still learning and the same classroom expectations apply- except the getting dirty part! Having stable benches in the outdoor classroom will do just that. I love the logs I brought, but the kids are searching under them for insects too! That is our first month of the year. There is so much else to learn too!
