In the beginning of the year I focused on building mental math skill and getting students to calculate numbers in their heads. Now we are at a point where calculators will make everyone's life a lot easier. My students need graphing calculators to do the work that simply does not make sense to do by hand. In order to compete at a higher level students need to be able to use relevant technology in the math classroom. Using graphing calculators is both a skill and a tool. I would like for my students to have access to these so they can work on grade level math in the most efficient way.
