Many students at our school have sensory issues as is common with middle school kids. Please help me provide my students with alternatives to disrupting class by helping them focus. Fidgets and sensory seats allow students to focus better because it givens their hands something to do while learning. As someone with ADHD, I can personally speak to the needs of students who need a small distraction to stay focused. The bulk of our students are students of color, and these kids need books by people who look like them. Having books by black authors provides students with culturally relevant materials. My goal is to help my students be as successful as possible. In order to do this, I need to provide multiple ways for engagement. Our students matter, and your donation can help them feel that way.
