Having tablets in the classroom will allow more opportunities for students to learn at their individual level. Children nowadays are very technologically savvy and using that to our advantage in the classroom will hopefully yield great results. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), "the unique qualities of tablets can be used to help diverse learners, including children with disabilities." Every single child in my mixed population class will benefit from having these tablets. Having these tablets in my classroom will give my students endless opportunities to explore, create, and continue learning in new and exciting ways.
