I am a Special Education teacher in Tupper Lake NY, where I have been teaching since 2016. I have taught Kindergarten-6th in either Consultant/Resource or 15:1 teaching. As someone who decided to go into teacher because of my own struggles in school, I want to help students that struggle with similar situations. I love to encourage my students to advocate for themselves, and work WITH their challenges (ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, etc) and not against them. I strive to be the teacher I needed in school, when there were so many teachers I had that didn't catch the signs or know how to work with ADHD.
