We need a class set of Wonder for engaging literature that can be tied in to the learning standards and also tie in with our social emotional learning curriculum. Wonder is an amazing text that teaches empathy and acceptance. My students love to read and need quality and engaging texts in the classroom. My students will use this novel to improve and strengthen various fourth grade reading skills necessary for their success on NWEA and PARCC. This novel will also be used to explicitly teach empathy, acceptance and kindness to my students, in accordance with our social emotional curriculum. They will be able to use this novel during our whole group and small group time. Your generous donation to our project will improve our fourth grade classroom by building a stronger readers and writers, and more caring individuals. This will change our students' lives for the better.
