On a daily basis, I carve out as much time for movement as I can. However the result is always the same. There is never enough time in the day for how many wiggles these kiddos have. These 5, 6, and 7 year olds are not built to sit still for very long. These seating options will allow us to move as we learn. Wobble chairs will give us the ability to sway and be an active listener and focused learner. Especially during writing these help us do our best. The balance balls will allow us to rock or gently bounce and keep our core muscles engaged as we can focus on our task at hand. With these as seating options for independent work, my very active students will have a learning environment that helps them succeed. First Graders are FULL of energy. The more energy my students can expel by allowing their bodies to move, the more they can focus. The more they can focus, the more we can learn. They will be engaged in classroom activities and not always searching for a way to get their wiggles out. This makes for a happy, successful classroom. This is what I strive for. Thanks for taking the time and considering to help us be the best learners we can be. We truly appreciate all that you do.
