Each day my students come to class and use Google Classroom as their primary learning tool. The challenge that I am trying to tackle is how to make each learning experience “real” for my students. Since I am making a move from teacher to facilitator, it has become increasingly difficult to share experiences and introduce subjects that they can relate to. Through the use of Storyworks, SuperScience, DynaMath, and Time subscriptions, I feel I can encourage a sense of connectedness to the world. These magazines are standards-based which is extremely helpful when planning my curriculum. More importantly, they inspire exploration, stimulate thinking, and encourage collaboration. I want my students to enjoy the learning process and I feel that this will help make a difference for each of them.
