Picture books help open up discussions on choices we've made in the past and choices we will make in the future. It will give my students examples of cause and effect, as well as, problems and solutions. These books help my students relate to others and understand they are not the only person feeling the feelings that life sometimes brings. The manipulative tools are options students will be given to use instead of the negative behavior strategies they have used in the past. These will encourage my students to express their anger in positive ways instead of ways that are detrimental to their education.
