One of the focuses in our school district is differentiation of learning. I have ordered the headphones to use in our computer lab and on iPads so my students can use ST Math and other math programs that require sound for learning. The programs I would like to use are set up so that students can learn and progress at their own pace. Also, one of our core curriculum standards in second grade is working with time. I have ordered individual clocks so my students can have a hands-on learning experience as we learn about, practice and review time. The magnetic tiles, geometry sets, and addition and subtract games will be used for small group learning, review with room volunteers, and assistance with instructional aides. They also will be used for centers and differentiated learning. These materials will give an added scope to learning math skills and practicing and reviewing the standards and objectives required by the school district in which I teach. These educational resources will be used on a daily basis and will enhance learning, differentiation, and will be a great asset to our classroom. Since this is my first year in teaching second grade, my supplies are limited. All of these tools would be greatly appreciated and implemented right away.
