The innovative nature of mobile technology leaves the door open for endless student centered learning. Tablets will allow our students to learn through various applications that revolve around electronic literature, interactive journaling, and exploration of the world around them through virtual field trips. Students will be able to get a jump-start on using technology to advance their academic careers. Having access to tablets and technology in the classroom at a young age will help prepare our students for the ever-growing technology that they will see later in life. For instance, apps for phonemic awareness, handwriting, letter recognition and sounds, in addition to many other emerging reading skills are available. Using this form of technology will enhance their ability of future technology success.
