My students need experience and opportunity to expand their learning. They will use microscopes to examine their environment more precisely. Their individual perspectives will change as they investigate, more closely, the world around them. My students will use the microscopes and slides to communicate their understanding of cell theory. They will conduct investigations to provide evidence that living things are made up of cells. They will also use the microscopes to develop cell models to describe their function. This work will help my students tackle the new generation science standards and in turn help them become competitive students in our 21 century.
