These materials will make a difference in my students’ learning because multiple students listening to a lesson aloud on a tablet tends to be distracting. With individual headphones they can concentrate on their task at hand. In our English class, technology is integrated daily into instruction as well as during standardized testing. The headphones will benefit struggling readers through features such as text to speech conversion. English Language learners will benefit through exposure to instruction in multiple modalities such as simultaneous audio/visual experiences. Instruction can be differentiated through the use of headphones by being able to individualize literacy learning experiences.
