Algebra 1 will never be the same! Unknown variables are meaningless unless they represent the amount of money you will or will not be making. Our project this year is for my students to create a working website that taps into their expertise, SNEAKERS. This year we will learn Algebra as we predict the next big sneaker. Profit/loss margins, taxes, investment, advertising, entrepreneurial capacity, online marketing, all of these topics and more will be understood through algebraic applications in a real world, real-time experience. Our class is building a website to predict the popularity of up-coming SNEAKERS; students will learn Algebra and online entrepreneurial skills by learning to sell their knowledge. Our whole school has 20 laptops. We share them with 200 students. Please help provide one class set of laptops to our math class to change Algebra forever.
