Struggling students need creative, engaging lessons. I try to create lessons that allow students to use a variety of learning styles to gain a better understanding of math concepts. From activities where we move around the classroom, to singing math songs, to interactive computer programs which engage my struggling learners; my goal is for my students to achieve their best. Our district has invested a considerable amount of money in technology and software to have Hurricane Harvey wash away our ipads. Having ipads in my intervention classroom will allow my students to practice math fluency, explore newly learned concepts and implement those skills needed in real world situations. My students, who already have very little exposure to technology and the world around us, would benefit from the opportunity to explore the endless possibilities of their math skills via the ipads. Help me to create aspiring mathematicians.

About my class
