Through the use of these materials children will strengthen there hand muscles and fine motor skills. While using these materials we will be working on various academic centers such as counting, shaping numbers and letters, and just social and calming mechanisms to deal with anxiety and stressful situations in the classrooms. Think about the calmness you feel when placing your feet in the sand on the beach. While we can't take our shoes off and enjoy the warm sand on the beach during school, we can play with the moldable sand to build and create designs all while relaxing our bodies.

About my class
