Students are more engaged and productive when given the choice to sit or stand while working. The tables we want give students the option to sit or stand as they adjust from 24-45 inches tall. We are asking for two tables to augment what we already have in the room. Each table can accommodate 3-4 students. Students in a traditional classroom sit as much as six hours per day. Studies show that standing instead of sitting can burn 50-100 more calories per hour. Physical activity improves mental acuity and physical health. Students will now be able to switch from being seated during whole class instruction to standing for independent or group work. I am so excited to see my students "Stand Up for Learning!"
