Providing classroom-based tablets at a 1:1 ratio will provide my students with bounds of opportunities. My students enjoy using websites and apps that reinforce content, such as Quizlet and Study Island. There just simply aren't enough devices right now to go around at our small, poverty dense school. Our school budget is tight and we do not have the funds to provide additional technology. Our middle school and intermediate students are given access to technology, but it is more scare in our primary department.
These tablets will allow my students to participate in more interactive presentations of lessons through programs like Nearpod. They will also help our students become more familiar with simply using technology, which is something many aren't able to do at home. My students will now be able to take part in Google Classroom using these devices. There are so many apps and websites that are available to reinforce and support special needs children and I want my students to have access to those supports. The charging station will make it easier to store and charge the devices and will help the students learn how to care for electronic devices themselves.
