In my 5th grade classroom, I am grateful to have 22 unique learners who bring their individual interests, talents, and qualities into our little community each day. My students strive to do their best, inspiring each other (and me!) to persevere through challenges and to "throw kindness around like confetti," as we like to say. I take great pride in calling our class family and instilling a sense of belonging and leadership in my students. Through engagement, hands-on learning and inquiry, and a positive classroom community, my goal as an educator is to promote a great love of learning and passion for helping others. Our school motto is "Small School, Big Heart," and we aim to spread compassion and empathy into the world through acts of kindness, support, and love. Social-emotional learning is a top priority as we grow as leaders and take on the responsibility of being world-changers.
