Our school is trying to transition into a place where students use their imagination and technology to solve real world problems. Through the design thinking process, as well as coding and experimentation with robots (such as Dash and Dot), I hope to kick start this journey. My students currently use Chromebooks, which are not compatible with many of the coding and robot apps. Having a center with an iPad in the classroom will allow my students to experience computer science in a new way. The use of the iPad in the classroom will help our classroom become a place where the possibilities are endless, a place where students are inspired to create and work together to identify needs and find solutions.
