I have requested a class set of 30 Kindle Fire 7 tablets with earbud type headphones which will help enrich the learning experiences for my students by allowing more opportunities for engaging lessons through the use of technology. I have also requested screen protectors and silicone cases to protect the kindles during use. Our district and our students are still rebuilding from Hurricane Harvey, and these tablets will go a long way with building our technology supply. Kindle Fires will allow my classes to engage in activities that catch their attention and provide meaningful collaboration. Websites like Kahoot!, Quizizz, and Nearpod, are just a few of the websites we will be able to explore if this project is funded. Many of my students do not have access to a computer or cell phone at school or at home. They will be able to do online research for projects in class. It will make the information more accessible to them at school and help them to be more successful in their classwork.
