Thank you for considering my classroom library project. When I first came to this school year (August, 2017), I set up a new second grade classroom. The books which had been left in this room were old, battered, and much too difficult for my students. I have had a great challenge in finding enough books in good condition to set up my classroom library. I’ve used what I have found around the campus, yet there are still not enough books to meet my students needs. I’d like the students to have easy access to plenty of new books which are at their perfect reading level, so that they enjoy practicing independent reading, both at school and at home. ALL students in my classroom are welcome to borrow books to read at home as often as they like. I’m seeking exciting new books to capture the students interests and abilities. Thank you.
