These materials and instruments will allow my students the hands on learning environment needed to engage students in music class. The one thing my students ask about every week is when they will get to play instruments. Unfortunately, the school did not have music for several years and many of the musical instruments were lost or misplaced during this time. Boomwackers will allow my students to learn how to play as an ensemble and give every student an equally important role in the process. They love the show “Stomp” for their non-traditional approach to music and enjoy the physical nature that comes with playing boomwackers. This project will give my students a creative outlet, to forget about their daily stresses, and to make a joyful noise!
