We're traveling the world in 60 minutes every day and we're ready to join the global community! My students are a mix of lower to middle-class children middle school. The students spend very little time outside, so my class is a break in the monotony of their regular core curriculum. I believe there is a little creative in everyone and in my class, I mix teaching World Culture with crafts and art. As an artist and a world traveler, I feel a personal mission to inform students about the wonders of the world but in a fun and creative way. The students are immersing themselves into different cultures with hands-on crafts and virtual field trips to foster an understanding of cultural appreciation instead of appropriation.
