Most of the school population excels through kinesthetic means: touching, feeling, experiencing the material at hand. Children enter school as kinesthetic and tactual learners, moving and touching everything is their best way to learn and store for recall later. Young children discover best through the use of their senses, through movement, and through their sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them. These materials, Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs and the Design & Build Engineering Centers will provide hands-on experiences for my students to explore letter sounds, build vocabulary and explore STEM ideas while working to develop their fine motor skills.
