I am requesting stopwatches and calculators to replace the current and/or broken supplies. We are changing our curriculum to meet the new Missouri State Science standards that have more emphasis on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) projects. These activities will have a more hands-on approach to learning that requires more precise data collection and calculations. The addition of new calculators and stopwatches will help with the data collection and calculation process that will be required to solve a problem presented in class as well as explore new questions and ideas. In incorporating these lessons into my classroom, I hope to meet the dynamic needs of every learner and encourage them to become a lifelong learner.
