My students have never been in a nonpandemic school setting. They have an excitement for the new world of kindergarten that is infectious. Giving them hands-on activities to stimulate and excite them about school will be invaluable. The STEM kit will allow my kindergartners to utilize 21st-century skills (RLK1-3,KPS2-1-2, K2ETS 1-1-3). They can begin to discover the productive struggle that is problem-solving and persevering in their own success. Many of my students have not had access to writing tools during the pandemic. I will use these tools during instruction in writing and reading (RFK1-3, WK 1-3). They will also be used in support of Science, Social Studies, and Math.
