This project will benefit all students in the Fine Arts Program for many years. Each year the Fine Arts program produces one to two musicals that incorporates art, band, drama, and choir students. The prop closet and set closets are in desperate need of organization. I want to teach my students to value and take care of all the items we have been given over the years to produce our shows. I have requested several sizes of clear plastic containers so that my students can sort the props and set supplies into categories. I have requested a label machine to print out clear readable labels. The school has provided us shelving and the plastic bins will allow us to store more of our items and keep them dust free. I want to create an inventory system in order to know what is contained in our set and prop library. I will teach my students important organizational skills. Our department can be more efficient and save money by knowing exactly what props and set pieces we have.
