My classroom is set with the intention of being and having the resources students need throughout the day. As first graders, students need visuals and hands on practice with everything that they are learning about. I use manipulatives, audio, visuals and interactive ideas to re-enforce their learning. I have a few of the manipulatives and with technology becoming a competitor with paper and pencil, I am looking for new ways to help my students learn and not stay behind in regards usage of technology. Though I work for a new school, in which we require so many things. We do the best that we can to provide the best learning possible. My students come to school with such raised spirits and a big desire to learn. As they enter the classroom they anticipate what the day is going to bring, what new things we are going to be doing or learning about. It is amazing to see how their learning spirits take off.
