Each day, students come to school with a wide variety of social and emotional needs and allowing these children to choose where to sit, while a seemingly insignificant idea, can empower them to push through potential stressors, fear, or sadness and create a day that is magical for them. The students will love using the floor seats to get close to one another and help each other learn. My students will use the floor seating and small group table to engage with one another for partner reading, center work, and independent work. Having this moveable and flexible will give students the power to create their own community within the classroom, allowing them to change the configuration any way they need.

About my class
