Using these STEM kits as independent centers will reinforce lessons taught using the Next Generation Science Standards of Forces and Motion, Types of Interactions and Relationship Between Energy and Forces. The Create-a-Chain Reaction STEM Kit and the Ramps and Balls Exploration Set facilitate planning and investigating the causal relationships between pushes and pulls and objects in motion. The Stand-Up Magnetic Board will be used to explore how pushes and pulls on an object can change the speed or direction of its motion. The Magnetic Board can be used for both the Turn and Learn Magnetic Gears on one side and the Engineer-a-Coaster on the other side.
