This year my students will be engaging in a new vocational program. We will be using my classroom to start a school store. Each week we will be going to BJ's to buy snacks, and work on money and budgeting skills. We will then sell the snacks in our school store to the rest of the school community. Students will be working on daily living skills that they will need to get jobs, once they graduate high school. My students work very hard learning new skills, that we often take for granted. They learn to work a cash register, stock shelves, take inventory, make shopping lists, prepare budgets, and exchanging money. Some of students may even get jobs in local stores! My students work very hard, and definitely need a break after working so hard each day. The sensory area will meet many of their needs to help them decompress after a long days work. Please help my students!
