I need composition books so that my students will be able to learn the proper method for taking notes. Learning to take notes is a skill that my students need to keep them organized.
The renewable energy and solar models will enhance my student's learning. The students will have the opportunity to better visualize how renewable energy works. Hands-on activities along with manipulative aid in the learning process.
My students will be able to build different solar structures teaching them the benefits of solar energy. Living in San Diego, solar energy is a great renewable energy source. Another resource we have here that is extremely important is water. For this reason I will use a water filtration systems and create clean water from salt water.
The NGSS standard have moved Geology and Earth's Systems to 7th grade. For my students to connect with inner earth, faults, and plate boundaries and be able to manipulate model so they can envision what transpires inside the earth to create landforms. they need to have models to create landforms. Once the students understand how faults are created they will better understand how earthquakes occur. I will use the Slinkys for the students to mirror seismic wave activity.
