My students are in a new program called Unmanned Aerial Systems. This program is one of very few in the country at the high school level. My students learn to build UAV's also known as "drone's". We have built a couple of drones this year and these additional kits will allow my students to use all the knowledge they have gained to build a more advanced drone. The world of UAS is changing so fast it is important for my students to keep up with all the latest advancements in this field. My students love building drones and the Flamewheel F550 gives them the opportunity to build a large drone. This means they will have to build a larger circuit with more complex programming. With a larger drone comes more potential problems. These problems will force my students to collaboratively problem solve and trouble shoot so they can achieve a functioning, flying drone.
