My class has 21 2nd grade students who the first language is Spanish. Some of them with special needs. All my students come from low income. The program I am working is a Bilingual transition that means, 60% of my instruction is in Spanish and 40% in English. My students lacking vocabulary in both languages is a learning barrier. I would like to use more technology to help them to close the gap, so they can achieve success in a timely manner. There is a variety of free resources online to help them develop the skills they need across the curriculum. My classroom has a limited amount of books on reading levels, not enough seats. Some of the seats my classroom needs are the wiggling seats for students working in stations. I also need books shelves. I would like to motive them with new equipment since they seemed to be unmotived after hurican Harvey. Most of these families lost everything.
