This project would provide Math supplies that will be utilized by two 5th grade classes. The materials will provide important hands-on learning that will encourage a deeper understanding of fraction concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiply, and dividing fractions. The Rainbow Fraction Tiles and the Multiplying Fractions kKt will help students to better visualize what is happening when they manipulate fractions. These math materials will provide hands-on learning opportunities that cannot be presented in any other way, verbal or written. My students engagement levels increase greatly when they get to use their hands and interact with the concepts. This will make learning fractions more fun and interactive for my students.
