Now go back to the scenario described above. Think of the POSITIVE impact an iPad would have on your learning. Not only would you have immediate access to vocabulary (something that we are always learning due to low language), but you would also be able to SEE abstract concepts that you wouldn't otherwise understand. Think of how when you're reading a story about a little girl helping her dad change the oil in the car, you could immediately pull up a video of how to change the oil in the car. This iPad would change the way my students would be able to ACCESS information. Not only would they be able to watch concepts, they would be able to better communicate as well. If they didn't have the vocabulary for something they were trying to communicate, they would have access to visuals, apps that help communicate through pictures, and so much more. This would be life changing for them, making everyday communication so much more meaningful!
