With the help of these materials my students will be given the opportunity to build those 21st century skills that are needed for the workplace and life. By getting these materials, we will be able to actively engage students and encourage their creativity and to rediscover the joy of learning. Seeing the Code-a-pillar at Johnny Appleseed Day, my students loved arranging the pieces to see him move. They ask to explore with him to see how they can make changes that will take him to a certain place or design him to do specific tasks. The STEM kits will teach students trial and error as they build and test their creations. They will also learn to problem solve and collaborate to be successful completing the challenge.
