Students can sometimes have a hard time relating to history topics. By creating history immersion centers, students will be able to manipulate maps and historic documents that will hopefully instill a lifelong interest in history. "I believe that the more you know about the past, the better you are prepared for the future.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt. The history immersion centers will be located in both 5th grade classes and will be altered as the year progresses to reflect the current units of study. They will add supplemental resources for students with a variety of needs such as those who need extra practice with a skill or who are ready for enrichment.
