By using SnapWords cards, my students will be able to learn and retain the basic sight words needed for reading. SnapWords utilizes a multi-sensory strategy that integrates sight, sound and movement. Our youth deserve to have a solid reading foundation. With the SnapWords system, I will be able to lead lessons that require students to get up and move to the kinesthetic motion of a given sight word. By doing this, the students will be more likely to memorize the word. The added visual representations on each card help students to understand the meaning of each sight word. I look forward to teaching these lessons and allowing students to have fun while the learn.
