The use of 2 iPads in my classroom will greatly improve the engagement of my students. The iPads will be used daily during English Language Arts center time and Math center time. As of now, most center games and activities were created by me using various materials. Having an extra 2 iPads will add some differentiation to meet the needs of different learners and interest preferences of my students. For example, English Language Learners will be supported by listening to audio files of books during Reader's Workshop. With the increase in technology in classrooms, students are more likely to progress in literacy with the influx of educational programs and Apps. By donating to our project, not only will you be supporting an increase in their academic achievement, but also the attention and focus of my students. The iPads will also be used as reinforcements for positive behavior during our class "choice time." The less behavioral issues in the classroom, the more desire the students will have for learning! Considering that 87% of families in my school are economically disadvantaged, many of my students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. The iPads will support students in projects that require technological use. Your appreciated donation will help my students feel success at a young age, and ultimately love school.
