Being a Title One school, our student population comes from low-income homes. These children love to come to a bright and colorful classroom. Our class atmosphere makes a difference in their learning. I use my income to pay for many wonderful teacher resources to enhance the learning that happens in our class, but without the aid of a color printer, these resources lose their appeal and their educational impact. Colorful math and science vocabulary words posted on the walls are far superior to black and white words that do not draw the children's attention. You can imagine how dreary the one is compared to the other. To be able to print in color, pictures that I take of the children in their stellar moments, is so much more impactful than mere black and white pictures that they will not cherish. Please help me bring color into the lives of these children so that our classroom is a place where these students want to come and grow.
