My students are in a multi-age first and second grade class. There are 10 ELL students in a class of 17. Many of these students have little experience with technology outside of the classroom, which is why I am trying to bring as much into the classroom as I can. We are the only title one school in the town. Where as other schools in town have a PTO that is able to supply any and all requests of teachers, our PTO is working hard to make ends meet. This past year, our PTO received so little support from families, that we as a faculty donated back our $25.00 that we would have received for classroom funding. Other schools in town are able to walk through the hallways and drink from purified water filters and use updated technology, however our students are not as lucky. These children are happy to have any possible resources that we can give them which is why I am a part of Donors Choose.
