My students are a powerhouse of talent. They have a serious Passion for Fashion. My students attend a public high school in an urban neighborhood. Our Fashion program inspires many of them to come to school each day and to stay in school for the long haul. Most of my students come to me with no knowledge of sewing or fashion design. When they leave, they have gained a new skill set, and a new attitude that they can do anything they set their mind to. It is hard work, but also a lot of fun. The culture of our classroom is fun and friendly, students are encouraged to help and teach each other, fostering a sense of pride and developing skills in leadership while getting the job done.
