Worksheets don't grow dendrites! This phrase is a mantra I've heard frequently as a teacher, meaning that interactive learning, especially using all the senses, is the best way to learn. This project captures how to learn fundamental skills in a fun way. Many of my students have to learn the sounds of the alphabet in English even at an older age since the letters/sounds may be different (they may even use another alphabet!) in their first language. The alphabet, especially the sounds corresponding to the letters, is an essential foundation for learning to read. I have included different games to help my students learn the alphabet and sounds, including a multisensory game with applications to also help learn technology. I have also included a range of games and tools to help my students make meaning of the letters and sounds. This is also a good way to start learning social English through playing games as well as basic vocabulary.
