I want my students to be able to reach every possible goal by the end of their year with me. However, working for a high poverty school limits my ability to get them there. I want my students to develop a love for reading. My students get so excited when they get to use technology during literacy centers. They love having new opportunities to learn new information! My school takes every opportunity to enforce how important reading is, and I want to provide them with materials and equipment to make it possible. My students will use these Kindle Fire tablets during small group guided reading, individual conferencing, and Daily 5 small group rotations. They will have daily interactions with the Kindle Fire tablets in order to practice their reading skills with interactive stories, practice sight words, reading related games, and help with increasing their technology skills.
