Students will learn about the world around them using these instruments. We will study music and games from other cultures, discussing the universal language of the world: music. My students will create Orff-style arrangements to increase their understanding of basic elements of music. These instruments will allow the students to create, perform, respond, and connect to music. I hope to create a lifetime love of learning and music! These instruments will be used in call and response style songs, Orffestrations, and performances in a k-8 grade school with a majority of low-income students. We have an extremely high mobility rate and I want students to have fun, learn about the world, and feel at home in music!
